Clarks continue to innovate in 2012

Posted on the February 18th, 2012 under Clothing by

From its humble beginnings in 1825, Clarks has grown into a colossal brand at the forefront of fashionable footwear. And although there have been times when the Clarks brand has not been completely synonymous with the height of fashion, the second decade of the 21st century is now in full swing and Clarks finds itself back on top.
In 1950 Clarks designed its first ‘original’ piece of footwear: the Desert Boot. It’s a style that has become a classic and can be found in various iterations in any high street fashion store.

And it’s not just the Desert Boot that has become a piece of Clarks and design history; many of Clarks mens shoes range are still popular today. Despite being almost 50 years old, the Clarks Wallabee has also stood the test of time and has been re-invented countless times over by other designers.

In 1996 Clarks refocused its energies from being a ‘comfort shoe’ maker to a brand driven by design and consumer demand. Since then, many celebrities have taken to Clarks’ shoes.

Recently, Florence Welch, the eponymous leader of Florence and The Machine, was seen wearing a 21st century interpretation of the Clarks classic Desert Boot with a wedge heel. Being worn by style icons such as Welch is proof enough that Clarks womens shoes and boots are just as stylish and popular as their male counterparts, and that the brand is one which has a passion for design at its core.

2012 sees the brand innovating its product line even more, ensuring that it stays up to date with modern trends. The company’s latest shoe, the Desert Drille, combines the shoe that first placed Clarks as a design leader with a classic Weaver, creating a stylish and contemporary design.

The Desert Drille is available in sand and ebony suede and has an espadrille-esque sole, although it’s slightly more subtle. Come summer, this new design is likely to be yet another popular choice in the Clarks range for the fashion conscious male looking to set himself apart from the rest.

Freshman Mistakes

Posted on the February 7th, 2012 under Photography by

It takes anyone some time to settle into new routines, and the time it will take to complete all of the new obligations. In the college world, freshman students will need a bit of time to adjust to the routines and schedules of everyday academic life. It would behoove these newly-arrived students to plan their time-management strategies based upon the time and effort estimated to properly prepare for all class work, tests and essay writing assignments. When there is time left over in a daily or weekly scheduling of this sort, the student’s extra-curricular activities and leisure time pursuits can find a place. If the student begins with the idea of making sure there is time to party, and for team practice in sports, the student is doing a disservice to the main reason he or she is in attendance at the institution.

Unfortunately many students make this mistake of inverting their priorities. If you, as a student, find that you haven’t allowed enough time to complete a particularly difficult custom essay there is easy help available. An essay writing service can allow you to buy an essay – even as the deadline draws dangerously near – and fulfil an obligation for which the student had not properly prepared. Students can buy essays online a day or two before their due dates, and still have them available to submit. Excellent editing and proofreading services are also available, if the paper is almost – but not quite – done. Don’t make the mistake of letting things slide, and accepting a low grade. Get an essay online whenever you need the assistance.
